App Store screenshot sizes,
the 2026 reference.
Every dimension App Store Connect and Google Play Console accept right now, in one page. Short version: ship 1320×2868 for iPhone, 2064×2752 for iPad, and 1080×1920 for Android, and both stores are satisfied.
iPhone sizes, one set covers all.
App Store Connect requires a 6.9″ set if your app runs on iPhone. Every other iPhone size is optional, Apple scales your 6.9″ screenshots down when you skip them.
1 to 10 screenshots per device size per localization. JPEG or PNG.
iPad sizes, 13″ is the one.
Required only when your app runs on iPad. Provide the 13″ set and Apple handles 12.9″, 11″, and 10.5″ by scaling.
Google Play, ratios over pixels.
Play Console validates aspect ratio and bounds instead of exact dimensions. These are the rules that matter.
Sizes, answered.
What size should App Store screenshots be in 2026?
For iPhone, upload 1320×2868 pixels portrait (the 6.9-inch display size). For iPad, upload 2064×2752 pixels (the 13-inch display size). Apple scales these down for every smaller device, so these two sizes cover the whole App Store listing.
Is 1290×2796 still accepted for the App Store?
Yes. The 6.9-inch display slot accepts 1320×2868, 1290×2796, and 1260×2736 in portrait, plus their landscape rotations. Any of the three satisfies the iPhone requirement.
Do I need a separate screenshot set for every iPhone size?
No. Provide one 6.9-inch set and App Store Connect automatically scales it for 6.5-inch, 6.3-inch, and 6.1-inch displays. You only need multiple sets if you want pixel-perfect art per device.
Do I need iPad screenshots?
Only if your app runs on iPad. If it does, a 13-inch set (2064×2752 or 2048×2732) is required, and Apple scales it for smaller iPads.
What size should Google Play screenshots be?
Google Play accepts anything from 320px to 3840px per side with a 9:16 or 16:9 aspect ratio, but upload at least 1080×1920 portrait. Play requires 1080px or larger on four or more screenshots before it will promote your listing in curated placements.
How many screenshots can I upload to each store?
The App Store takes 1 to 10 screenshots per device size per localization. Google Play takes 2 to 8 per device type (phone, 7-inch tablet, 10-inch tablet).
What file formats do the stores accept?
The App Store accepts JPEG and PNG. Google Play accepts JPEG and 24-bit PNG with no alpha channel.
